Loved
- Varied puzzles: simple, but they make you think
- Plays well on a controller
- Hidden items that make exploring the levels worth it
Not for me
- The marker only ever has the ink the puzzle needs
- Not as good on keyboard and mouse

The review
At first I thought Max: The Curse of Brotherhood was a copy of Giana Sisters, because of the graphics and the beginning of the story (a monster comes through a portal and captures one brother, and the other has to save him).
But the similarity ends there.
Max has varied puzzles that are pretty simple, but at times they can make you think quite a bit.
The game plays well on a controller; on keyboard and mouse I didn't find it that good, but I think that might be a matter of personal taste.
The game also has hidden items, which give you a reason to explore the levels more.
The only thing I didn't really like is that the marker (the tool we use for the puzzles) is always limited to the amount of "ink" the puzzle needs, which keeps you from getting creative and coming up with more elaborate solutions.
