Loved
- The art is beautiful, the soundtrack is pleasant and the game is really polished
- It's pretty funny, leaning more toward the absurd and the unexpected
- Tom is a jerk (and I'm partly to blame for that hahaha)
- It has lots of achievements, which gives you a reason to play again
Not for me
- A VERY short game
- It's only exploration; it would be more fun with puzzles
The review
I recommend the game, but with some caveats:
The game looks really beautiful and polished. Its humor leans toward the dark side, but if you want something truly dark and heavy, that's not quite it… I think the fun lies more in the unexpected, in that absurd element of surprise that makes you laugh.
But keep in mind that it's an exploration game. The devs themselves call it a walk’n’stalk, so don't expect puzzles or anything revolutionary. Here you'll just wander around, peeking through people's windows, through holes in the walls and that kind of thing. I had a lot of fun, but I know not everyone likes games like this.
As the game goes on, you get little tasks to complete, start interacting with some things in each area and get to decide whether or not you want to do certain things. Those choices end up defining your personality, but that only really affects the achievements.
If you're like me and have a bit of a compulsion for completing achievements, the game has lots of them, and that gives you a reason to play it again. But if you don't care about that, the game is REALLY short. I'd say the story can usually be finished in about 2 hours, 2 and a half at most.
So it's a game I recommend for anyone who finds absurd things funny and just wants to spend some time wandering around and snooping on other people's lives.
